Area near the northern border of Corona Australis. Clouds of dust spread by the stellar field blocking the light of background stars in the Milky Way, and within 500 light years away, the most dense cloud of dust (which here is seen as an area with no stars ), is about 8 light-years long.
Top left, a group of reflection nebulae, NGC6726, NGC 6727, NGC 6729 and IC 4812. The blue color is produced by light from hot young stars which is reflected in the dust of the nebula.
In the center of the image, the globular cluster NGC 6723, a light 28600 years away. Opening 13 '. Visual magnitude: 6.8.
