Eta Carina nebula
The Carina Nebula (also known as the Great Nebula in Carina, the Eta Carina Nebula, or NGC 3372) is a bright and huge nebula surrounds several open clusters of stars in the constellation Carina. Eta Carinae and HD 93129A, are two of the most massive and luminous stars in the Milky
Way. The nebula is located at a distance of between 6,500 and 10,000 years light of the Earth. The nebula contains multiple O-I type stars.
It's one of the largest diffuse nebulae in our skies. Although is four times larger and brighter than the famous Orion Nebula, Carina Nebula is much less known, due to its location in the
Southern Hemisphere.
This picture is only part of the nebula. This part is known as
Keyhole Nebula.
